Design a single-stage wave reducer with intermediate rolling elements. A wave generator (an eccentric for one wave, an oval for two, and so on) pushes the rolling bodies, held in a cage, radially against the rigid outer wheel. Set the number of rolling bodies, generator waves, eccentricity, and size. The outer wheel carries a periodic wave profile, derived from the condition that every body stays in continuous contact with both the generator and the wheel. Read both kinematic-scheme ratios (ring fixed or cage fixed), animate the motion, and export the outer wheel, generator, cage, and full assembly to SVG, DXF, or a ZIP bundle.
The rigid outer wheel has Zp = Zb + Zg grooves. Hold one member still: fix the ring and the cage becomes the output; fix the cage and the ring becomes the output. The two schemes give different reduction ratios and opposite directions of rotation.
